I’m Karan Pawar, an Ahmedabad-based creative professional working across advertising, design and filmmaking.

My work lives somewhere between thinking up an idea and figuring out how to make it real. As an Associate Creative Director, I work across concepts, campaigns, visual direction and content — bringing together words, images, design and moving frames to tell stories that connect with people.

Over the years, I’ve moved between different parts of the creative process: developing ideas, writing scripts, building visual worlds, planning shoots, working behind the camera and shaping the final edit. I enjoy making all these pieces come together as one coherent thought.

Outside my agency work, I make films of my own. I’m drawn to places, their histories, the people who shape them and the little details that are easy to miss when you’re just passing through. Through travel films, photography and short-form content, I experiment with a more personal kind of storytelling — one that isn’t always dictated by a brief.

Advertising has taught me how to communicate an idea. Making things independently has taught me how to follow one.

Both continue to shape the way I see, think and create.
